Mobile — Step by step

iPhone & iPad (Safari): Safari doesn’t allow dragging bookmarklets, so add it manually.

Tap Copy Bookmarklet Code above.
Open Safari and bookmark any page — tap the Share icon, then “Add Bookmark.”
Open Bookmarks, find that bookmark and tap Edit.
Clear the URL field and paste in the code you copied.
Rename it The Contextualizer and tap Done.
On any news page, open Bookmarks and tap it to activate.

iPhone & iPad (Chrome): Same idea, slightly different path.

Tap Copy Bookmarklet Code above.

Mac Safari — Step by step

Mac Safari doesn’t support Chrome-style extensions, so The Contextualizer runs as a bookmarklet. The drag method works on desktop.

Show your bookmarks bar in Safari: View → Show Bookmarks Bar (or ⌘+Shift+B).
Drag the 🔖 The Contextualizer button from the Mobile section above to your bookmarks bar.
On any news page, click it in your bookmarks bar to activate.

Alternatively, use Copy Bookmarklet Code, create a new bookmark manually, and paste the code as the URL.

Firefox — Making it permanent

The "Load Temporary Add-on" method resets when you restart Firefox. For a permanent install:

Download Firefox Developer Edition — it allows unsigned extensions permanently.

Troubleshooting

Extension not appearing:Make sure Developer Mode is enabled before loading unpacked.
Bookmarklet not working:Make sure the full code starting with javascript: is in the bookmark URL field.
