Google’s ambition is to run on entirely carbon-free energy for its data centers and offices by 2030. But talk is cheap. As a first step into its commitment and proof of concept, construction began at 237 Moffett Park Drive in January 2019. The pioneering workplace for Google Cloud employees generates more energy than it uses, serving as a model for future sustainability. HUGE was invited to create five dynamic installations that pay tribute to the history of Silicon Valley computing, foster connections throughout the space, and showcase its dedication to sustainability.
